Lemon Butter Salmon (Foolproof and So Good)

Two salmon fillets, each weighing about 5 to 6 ounces

Add salt and black pepper to taste.

1 tablespoon of melted butter or olive oil

1 lemon, cut into thin slices

2 tablespoons of butter, cut into small pieces

Optional: fresh dill, garlic powder, or paprika

How to Do It

Get the air fryer ready

Put parchment paper in the basket and make sure the fish keeps it from moving around.

Add spices to the salmon

Use paper towels to dry the salmon. Add olive oil or butter, then salt, pepper, and any other spices you want.

Put on the toppings

Put lemon slices on top of the salmon and the butter cubes on top of that. This keeps the fish moist and adds a lot of flavor as it melts.

Fry in the air

Set the temperature of the air fryer to 390°F (199°C).

Depending on how thick it is, cook it for 8 to 10 minutes. When the salmon is done, it should be easy to flake with a fork and have an internal temperature of 145°F.

Rest and serve

Give it a minute or two to rest, then spoon some of the buttery juices over the top before serving.

Helpful Hints

If your fillets are thin, check them after 7 minutes. Thicker fillets stay juicier.

Don’t overcook it; salmon goes from perfect to dry very quickly.

Take the lemon slices off for the last two minutes if you like crispy edges.

What to Serve It With

Asparagus or green beans that have been roasted

Potatoes, rice, or quinoa

A simple salad with lemon dressing on the side
