The image shows garlic cloves dried and turned into garlic powder. Here is the simple homemade recipe.
Homemade Garlic Powder
Ingredients
8–10 heads of fresh garlic
Instructions
Peel the garlic
Separate the cloves and remove all the skins.
Slice the garlic
Cut the cloves into thin slices. Thin slices help them dry faster.
Dry the garlic
Oven method:
Spread slices on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Dry at 60–70°C (140–160°F) for 2–3 hours until completely dry and brittle.
Dehydrator method:
Dry at 55–60°C (130–140°F) for 6–8 hours.
Grind into powder
Place the dried garlic slices in a blender, spice grinder, or coffee grinder.
Blend until a fine powder forms.
Store
Put the garlic powder in an airtight glass jar and store in a cool, dry place.
Optional Tip
For a smoother powder, sift it through a fine sieve and grind any larger pieces again.
Uses
Season meat, chicken, and fish
Add to soups and sauces
Sprinkle on roasted vegetables
Mix into marinades and spice blends
