Delicious Chicken Pot Pie

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of soft bread
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ¼ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1–2 tbsp milk or cream (optional for softer eggs)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: cooked bacon bits, herbs, chili flakes

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare muffin pan by lightly greasing it with butter or oil.
  3. Flatten bread slices with a rolling pin and press each slice into the muffin cups to form a bowl shape.
  4. Brush the bread lightly with melted butter.
  5. Crack one egg into each bread cup.
  6. Sprinkle cheese, salt, pepper, and bacon bits on top.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on how runny you like the yolk.
  8. Let cool slightly, remove from pan, and serve warm.

🍽️ Tips

  • Add spinach, mushrooms, or diced chicken for extra flavor.
  • Use puff pastry instead of bread for a richer version.
  • Sprinkle paprika or cinnamon sugar (as in the photo) for a sweet-savory twist.
