Ingredients
- 6 slices of soft bread
- 6 large eggs
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- ¼ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1–2 tbsp milk or cream (optional for softer eggs)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: cooked bacon bits, herbs, chili flakes
👩🍳 Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare muffin pan by lightly greasing it with butter or oil.
- Flatten bread slices with a rolling pin and press each slice into the muffin cups to form a bowl shape.
- Brush the bread lightly with melted butter.
- Crack one egg into each bread cup.
- Sprinkle cheese, salt, pepper, and bacon bits on top.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on how runny you like the yolk.
- Let cool slightly, remove from pan, and serve warm.

- Add spinach, mushrooms, or diced chicken for extra flavor.
- Use puff pastry instead of bread for a richer version.
- Sprinkle paprika or cinnamon sugar (as in the photo) for a sweet-savory twist.
