Chayote (also called christophine or chouchou) is a light vegetable rich in nutrients. This simple juice is refreshing, hydrating, and can easily be included in a balanced diet.
Ingredients (1 glass)
- 1 fresh chayote
- 1 glass of water (200–250 ml)
- Juice of ½ lemon (optional)
- 1 small piece of fresh ginger (optional)
- 1 teaspoon natural honey (optional)
Preparation
- Wash the chayote thoroughly under running water.
- Cut it into small pieces (there is no need to peel it).
- Place the pieces in a blender.
- Add the water and ginger.
- Blend for 30 to 60 seconds until smooth.
- Add the lemon juice and mix well.
- Strain if you prefer a lighter juice.
- Serve immediately to enjoy the maximum nutrients.
When to drink this juice?
You can drink this juice:
- In the morning on an empty stomach
- 30 minutes before a meal
- As a refreshing drink in the afternoon
