Ingredients
- 1.5 liters milk (6â…“ cups)
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (30 ml)
- 50 g melted butter (¼ cup)
Instructions
- Pour the milk into a pot and heat it over medium heat until it’s hot but not boiling.
- Add the apple cider vinegar and stir gently. The milk will begin to curdle immediately.
- Turn off the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Strain the curds using a cheesecloth or fine sieve, pressing gently to remove excess liquid.
- Add salt and melted butter to the warm curds and mix well until smooth and creamy.
- Shape or press the cheese as desired and let it cool before serving.
